Australian Albariño mix up

The Australian wine industry is reeling from the announcement that many of their Albariño wines will have to be re-branded after DNA testing found that a number of varieties thought to be Albariño, were in fact the little known grape variety Savagnin Blanc (Traminer) which is almost exclusively grown in Jura Eastern France.

Kirin sells Pernod Ricard stake

Kirin Holdings Netherlands BV, a unit of Japan's biggest beverage maker, agreed to sell its 3.74% stake in Pernod Ricard SA (RI FP) to the Ricard family.
The move came after Pernod took back control of its brands in the Japanese market. Kirin's stake will be bought by Le Delos Invest 3, a company owned by the family of founder Paul Ricard, Paris-based Pernod said in a statement.
