Virgin Wines has said it is on track for its best month to date, despite difficult weather conditions.
The online wine retailer has announced today that sales in the first three weeks of this month are over 9% higher than the same period last year.
Managing director, Jay Wright, said its 12 days of Christmas promotion, led to sales of more than 12,000 cases and a turnover of more than £2m last week.
"At a time when many consumers need to tighten their belts, we are thrilled that sales continue to thrive. Last week was another record breaking week with more customers visiting the website than ever before, over 6,000 new customers ordering from Virgin Wines for the first time and record sales."
