Cono Sur has unveiled Anna Garrard as the winner of its Green Cooks Search competition.

Cono Sur has unveiled Anna Garrard as the winner of its Green Cooks Search competition.

The Chilean wine producer launched the Green Cooks Search last month to highlight the affinity between sustainable cooking and its own sustainable approach to winemaking.

The competition aimed to reward those who produce food that matches its wines in terms of taste, but also its sustainability ethos, by using home-grown, organic or ethically sourced ingredients.

London based Garrard was chosen by a panel of sustainable food experts including Paul Merrett, Jamie Grainger-Smith and Barny Houghton.

Her winning recipe was locally sourced pheasant with apple and bacon stuffing.

Garrard won a weekend break for two at The Victoria and a seasonal meal cooked by Paul Merrett to be paired with Cono Sur carbon neutral wines.
