Jascots Wine Merchants is to unveil 15 new producers and 35 new wines to its portfolio at its autumn tasting later this month.
The new additions represent an on-going push for the on-trade distributor which has expanded its portfolio by 35% over the last three years.
Producers hail from Chile, Austria, USA, France, Italy and Germany, with a number of organic, biodynamic and natural wines.
Among the new producers are Fidora Prosecco, one of the first in the Veneto to convert to organic farming back in 1974, Austrian family winery Koppitsch which specialises in natural and orange wines, and the sustainable Napa winery Rutherford Ranch.
The new range has been inspired by Jascots’ insights research into UK on-trade listings, prices and food trends, the company said.
“The selection process is rigorous and the range represents the very best of thousands of wines tasted over the past year,” said Adam Porter, buying and marketing director. “Our on-trade research plays a vital part in the process. Now more than ever, it is vital to be in tune with market trends and the needs of independent hospitality operators. This evolution of our portfolio will help our customers have a greater impact and return in this competitive market.”
Jascots has further diversified its South American offering recently with the introduction of five new wines from Chile and Argentina.
This was in response to the increasing popularity of South American wines, the company said, which have seen stronger positive growth in listings year-on-year than Old World counterparts.
The new wines will make their debut at Jascots annual autumn trade tasting on September 20 at 22 Calvert Avenue in Shoreditch, London.
