The shortlists have been announced for the second annual Think Gin awards, which will be held in London on March 1.
The event has quickly established itself as central to the UK gin industry calendar, providing a unique forum for senior trade buyers, producers and sector experts to discuss and drive growth in both the on- and the off-trade.
The award categories this year are: Best Gin Retailer (Multiple Sites); Best Gin Retailer (Independent); Best Gin Bar (Multiple Sites); Best Gin Bar (Independent); Best Gin Wholesaler; and Best Gin Communicator.
Best Gin Retailer (Multiple Sites): Lidl, Majestic Wines, Oddbins, Waitrose
Best Gin Retailer (Independent): Gerry's Wines & Spirits; Hedonism; Master of Malt; The Whisky Exchange
Best Gin Bar (Multiple Sites): Charlotte's Group; Hogarths
Best Gin Bar (Independent): 214 Bermondsey, London; Merchant House, London; Pleased to Meet You, Newcastle; The London Gin Club
Best Gin Wholesaler: Amathus; Enotria&Coe; Hammonds Of Knutsford; Matthew Clark; Speciality Drinks

Aside from the awards, the event will include a series of practical sessions and workshops on identifying the right gin brands for each business, together with a number of Gin Debates featuring key figures from both the on- and off-trade.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience exclusive new gin showcases from over 35 of the world's premier distillers, including Caorunn, Blackdown, Pinkster, Warner Edwards, Martin Miller's and many more.
UK gin sales passed £1 billion for the first time in 2015, and are predicted to hit £1.31 billion by the end of the decade.
Growth has been particularly marked among younger consumers, with 42% of the key 18-to-34 demographic having drunk gin in the last year.
Think Gin will run from 9:30am to 6.00pm at The Hospital Club in London's Covent Garden.
