Leading on-trade distributor Matthew Clark has added Burgundy producer Remoissenet Père et Fils to its premium Wines of Distinction portfolio.
The Beaune winery will have 11 wines listed by Matthew Clark, which is reporting increasing demand for Burgundy classics from its clients.
Founded in 1877, Remoissenet Père et Fils was a family-run estate until it was purchased by a consortium - which included New York financiers Edward and Howard Milstein, Toronto's Halpern Enterprises and Maison Louis Jadot - for around €10 million in 2005.
It is now run by managing director Bérnard Repolt, a former president of Louis Jadot.
Head winemaker, Claudie Jobard, also joined in 2005 and has worked closely with Repolt to reduce yields and improve grape quality.
Since 2005, the vineyards holdings have expanded from the 2.5 hectares held at purchase and now include 13 hectares of Beaune premier cru.
The Remoissenet Père et Fils range will be exhibited to buyers at Matthew Clark's trade tasting at London's Tobacco Dock in March.
Siobhan Irons, wine buyer at Matthew Clark, said: "It was wonderful to meet the managing director of Remoissenet Père et Fils, Bérnard Repolt, last summer. He's a very entertaining guy full of fascinating stories.
"We're incredibly excited to bring on board a selection of fantastic wines which have greatly improved since Bérnard joined the winery."
Repolt said: "I know Matthew Clark very well from my days at Louis Jadot and have always been very impressed by the organisation's efficiency.
"I was very happy to meet Siobhan Irons this summer and to learn that Matthew Clark was looking for more exclusive, high-end, top quality wines.
"Matthew Clark is connected to the UK's top hotels and restaurants, which is precisely where we want our wines to be."
Matthew Clark also added Champagne Doyard to its Wines of Distinction portfolio in the run-up to Christmas.
Remoissenet Père et Fils was previously distributed in the UK by Hallgarten Druitt.
