Lizzy Rudd confirmed to stay on at helm of BBR

Published:  21 March, 2019

Berry Bros & Rudd (BBR) has confirmed that Lizzy Rudd will maintain her role as executive chairman at the family-owned St James wine merchant.

Rudd, who took over as chairman from Simon Berry in 2017, stepped up to the executive role following the departure of former CEO Dan Jago in January of this year.

Having begun her career in the marketing department at BBR, Rudd later returned to the company and went on to play a key role in establishing a family board to sit alongside the executive board.

As chairman she played what the company described as “an integral role” in the restructuring of this 321-year-old merchant – which included drafting in Jago to steer BBR back into profitability after a financially rocky patch – and continues to shape the overall strategy for BBR looking to the future.
