Armit Wines appoints new ‘head of London sales’

Published:  23 April, 2018

Armit Wines has appointed a new ‘head of London sales’ as part of a strategy to grow its customer base in the capital.

The business has appointed James White to the role, which he starts towards the end of next month (21 May) taking responsibility for driving new business development for global premium wines across the off-trade and the London restaurant scene.

The appointment of White, who joins from Liberty Wines where he has been on-trade sales manager for the past eight years, formed part of Armit’s ambitions to continue to grow its customer base in London as it “continued to focus on increasing its market share”.

“We are actively investing with a view to developing our business and furthering our reach,” said MD, Kirsten Kilby, adding with “careful targeting, prospecting and natural growth”, she was looking forward to seeing White place Armit’s global roll call of wines throughout the rest of this year and in the years ahead.

Prior to joining Liberty Wines, White - who holds a WSET Diploma, worked for both Matthew Clark and Majestic in sales and business development roles.

White will be reporting directly to Kilby.
