NWTC hits the road

Published:  10 August, 2017

The company behind the Botanist has adapted its offering to four wheels so that it can tour the country with its cocktails and craft beers.

New World Trading Company (NWTC) is responsible for popular gastropub chain the Botanist, which can be found in 14 cities scattered predominantly across the north of England.

But now, via an adapted Citroen HY van, the company is now offering customers the option to travel to travel to them, rather than the other way around.

The Wanderer, a vintage-style mobile bar, will be available for private hire, including weddings and corporate events.

It will operate a fully working bar stocked with specialist spirits, mixers and world beers.

It will also be able to visit sponsors Plymouth Gin, which is believed to be produced from the UK’s oldest working gin distillery.

Nick Whitby, head of bars at NWTC said: “We get inundated with requests asking if we can provide our cocktails and drinks for their private celebrations. The Wanderer is perfect for this. The vehicle has been adapted to house a sleek bar but it also promises to deliver our highest standard of award winning cocktails and drinks no matter where the celebration is, up and down the country.”

Plymouth Gin has roots going back to 1793, before being acquired as part of Pernod Ricard takeover of Swedish company V&S Group in 2008.
