New Pinot Grigio from Guy Anderson

Published:  18 January, 2007

Guy Anderson Wines has teamed up with innovative Italian producer Enoitalia to launch a radical and stylish new brand with one of the most distinctive bottles on the market.

"Italy is known for fashion and design, so it is appropriate that this striking new wine bottle should have originated there" says Simon Bradbury, Sales Director - Italy, Guy Anderson Wines. "We believe that bold innovation is key in order to attract new consumers and trade others up through the wine category. Voga has proved a massive hit across the world, so we are confident it will also excite plenty of interest in the UK."

Conceived to appeal to style-conscious younger wine drinkers, between 21-35 years of age - the "Millenial Generation" - Voga was first introduced into the USA in 2005 where it has exceeded all expectations with over 300,000 cases (9lt) sold to date. Voga is well established as a major brand in the saturated and intensely competitive Pinot Grigio market where it is the fastest growing according to AC Nielsen whose analysis shows it is already the 7th biggest brand.

It is now present in around 40 markets worldwide and total sales have passed 7 million bottles, reflecting the amazing impact of the unique bottles on display and of course the quality of the wines themselves.

The range has recently been extended from the original Pinot Grigio IGT Delle Venezie and the red, an IGT Sicilia Merlot. New for 2008 are Voga "Rosa" pink and a distinctive Pinot Grigio sparkling wine - both wine styles that are experiencing dramatic sales growth around the world.

The unique, tall cylindrical bottle has a cork closure complemented by a large, airtight twist cap, so the wine can be easily resealed after opening.
