Luxury cuvée matured in steel, wood and glass released by Möet

Published:  07 September, 2015

Moët & Chandon is to release a prestige cuvée called MCIII in October.

The Champagne is a blend of vintages matured in stainless steel, wood and glass.

The first in what will become a series of releases is MCIII 001.14.

Chef de cave Benoît Gouez said that the 001 indicated that it was the first "saga" in the series and that ".14" is a reference to the disgorgement year.

"The idea for MCIII was first conceived in 2000, so it has taken us 15 years to present the first version," he said. "There will be successive sagas that follow the same concept and share a common philosophy and structure while each maintaining its own personality."

The packaging reflects the three maturation materials: a glass bottle with a wooden coffret and a metal cap.

The UK rrp is £330.
