Taittinger is releasing its 2006 vintage Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut this month.
The prestige cuvée is 100% Chardonnay from only grand cru-rated vineyards in Azive, Le Mesnil sur Oger, Oger, Cramant and Chouilly in Côtes des Blancs.
The cuvée is made only in years with an exceptional quality vintage.
Export director Clovis Taittinger said: "Our Comtes de Champagne is made with five grand crus, the very best of the best.
"The 2006 vintage is well-balanced but reveals incredible complexity. It is delicious now, but I am personally very excited to see how it develops over time as it promises to be very long lived"
Company president Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger added: "2006 represents the first vintage made in my presidency, when I took over Taittinger with my son Clovis and daughter Vitalie.
"Comtes is the soul of Taittinger. It's an extraordinary wine whose reputation was built by my ancestors."
Taittinger is represented in the UK by Hatch Mansfield.
