Corney & Barrow has extended its French wine offer with the news it is to represent the full Labruyère Family portfolio, which includes Domaine Jacques Prieur, Domaine Labruyère Moulin-à-Vent, exclusively in the UK.
It then plans to also introduce the producer's Champagne Champagne Labruyère in to the range further down the line. Corney & Barrow said it would use Château Rouget through the Place de Bordeaux to buy the wines.
It is the latest in a series of exclusive distribution partnerships that Corney & Barrow has set up with prestigious estates across Europe having signed similar deals with Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Bonneau du Martray, Clos de Tart, Domaine François Carillon, Pétrus, Château Trotanoy and the wines of Ets J-P Moueix, Tertre Roteboeuf, Roc de Cambes, Dominio de Pingus, Tenuta di Biserno, Tenuta di Trinoro, Salon among many others.
Edouard Labruyère, head of the Labruyère Family's estates, said of the deal: "I share with the Corney & Barrow team the same values of trust and passion for great wines and selective distribution."
Adam Brett-Smith, managing director of Corney & Barrow, added: "Our strategy is very simple: to supply to the end consumer wines which are exclusive to Corney & Barrow, in all the markets in which we operate. Customers seem to like this very simple and direct approach a lot and clearly so do the suppliers. We are very proud that the Labruyère family chose us against stiff competition and we cannot wait to get started."
Domaine Jacques Prieur and Domaine Labruyère Moulin à Vent are now available (en primeur) through Corney & Barrow.
