The Rutland in Edinburgh was awarded a top honour at The Champagne Taittinger Condé Nast Johansens Wine List of the Year Awards 2010, held in London last night (November 9).
The latest plaudit, for Innovative Wine List of the Year, brings the boutique, 12-bedroom hotel's award tally to eleven, having opened in only July last year.
Located on Princes Street's fashionable West End, The Rutland is run by brothers Nic and Garreth Wood, as part of their Signature Pub Group.
They source their 140 wines and Champagnes from six suppliers and prices range from £14 to £400.
Nic Wood said: "I am of course thrilled that our wine list has been recognised in this way, and by such prestigious judges who really know their wines. I have tried many different wines on my travels and wanted to create a wine list that gives diners a varied and exciting choice while providing good value for money."
Other awards won by The Rutland include the Spirits Bar Award, Best New Scottish Hotel, the award for Scottish Hotel Design, and the Best Bar Award for its late lounge club, The One Below, in the Scottish Hotel of the Year Awards.
