Winery seeks "lifestyle correspondent"

Published:  05 May, 2009

A Sonoma winery is offering $10,000 a month and free accommodation to a "lifestyle correspondent" who can report on its activities.

The "really Goode job" is being offered on a six-month contract by the Murphy-Goode winery in Healdsburg. The company said it wanted to identify a candidate who could use tools such as blogs, Facebook and Twitter to tell the story of life on the estate, in the company of winemaker David Ready and his team.

Other duties include monitoring the local raptor population and identifying suitable picnic spots for tourists.

The top 50 candidates will be featured on the winery website and whittled down to a final 10, after which the successful applicant will be selected.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA.
