US: The wine industry in Tennessee is not living up to its potential, a report has said.
Although the wine industry has grown to US$138.8 million (68,896), there's ample opportunity for more, the report by MKF Research said.
The wine industry grew 70% from 1999 to 2005 (from 21 to 30 bonded wineries that produce 191,000 gallons of wine).
But Don Collier, chairman of the Tennessee Vinicultural Advisory Board, says the state isn't "living up to its potential".
