Hatch Mansfield has been awarded an AA certificate for the BRC Global Standard for Agents and Brokers.
The accreditation makes hatch Mansfield one of the first wine agencies in the UK, particularly those providing duty paid and delivered services, to receive this accreditation.
Commercial manager Daniel Hart wine director Philip Tuck MW had “worked tirelessly” with the entire Hatch Mansfield team to achieve this, said managing director Patrick McGrath MW.
“It is a very exacting certification, which we believe should be an industry standard for companies supplying the UK wine trade. A number of customers are already in agreement, expecting this certification as a basic term of trading.”
The certification provided Hatch Mansfield’s customers and consumers with reassurance that there are systems and controls in place throughout the company’s supply chain, he added.
“As representatives of premium family wine companies, this recognition is a natural next step as part of our business evolution.”
The BRC Global Standard for Agents and Brokers has been developed to provide a framework for managing product safety, quality and legality for non-manufacturing businesses in the food and packaging industries.
It is divided into five key sections which set standards that must be met by businesses awarded this accreditation. This means that Hatch Mansfield has been audited to the highest standard in product safety and everyone in the business is responsible for consistent product safety, with a proven plan in place covering all services and operations.
