Harpers expands events portfolio with Think France

Harpers is gearing up to launch a new event dedicated to French wines - Think France.

The new annual trade day, which will make its debut 26 March 2019 in Central London, has been designed to give the trade an opportunity to “fully immerse itself into arguably the most important wine category in the world”, said Lee Sharkey, publisher, Harpers.

“It will be a chance for visitors to discover and taste wines from across France and see how the country benchmarks itself against other wine producing countries – think rosé wines from around the world, Vouvray/Chenin, Syrah/Shiraz and so on,” said Sharkey.

In addition to presentations, panel debates, workshops, masterclasses and tasting areas, the event will include Think France Awards, which has been added to recognise the best when it comes to ranging and selling French wine.

Taking place just before Brexit, there are also plans in the pipeline for a Brexit talk looking at the implications from both a British and French perspective, with the deputy French agricultural counsellor confirmed as a speaker.
