Hallgarten has signed a deal as the exclusive UK distributor of Champagne Collet and certified organic producer, Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot, to the on-trade and independents.
Located in Aÿ, in the heart of the Champagne region, Collet sources grapes from the top growers in Premier and Grand Cru vineyards across Vallée de la Marne, Montagne de Reims and Côtes des Blancs, while Pinot Meunier-focused Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot grows vines in the Premier Cru village of Vrigny.
Collet’s “passion for and dedication” to producing top quality Champagnes had really stood out to Hallgarten, said head of buying, Steve Daniel.
“The wines have amazing body and structure, and are balanced with incredible freshness to pair fantastically with food so are ideal for the on-trade,” he said, adding just as chefs pick ingredients with precision, Collet selected grapes from a range of villages and growers to create its desired Champagnes.
The Champagnes joining Hallgarten’s portfolio from the two brands comprise five Collet variants - Brut NV (rrp: £32), Brut, Art Déco NV (rrp: £36), Brut Rosé NV (rrp: £37), Collection Privée Rosé Dry NV (rrp: £37) and Collection Privée 2006 (rrp: £53), alongside a Lelarge-Pugeot quartet - Extra Brut 1er Cru Tradition NV (rrp: £34), Extra Brut 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs NV (rrp: £37), Les Meuniers de Clémence Extra Brut 1er Cru NV (rrp: £49) and Nature et Non Dosé NV (rrp: £57).
The new additions joins a diverse Champagne portfolio at Hallgarten, including Champagne Moutard, Champagne Bernard Remy and Champagne Hébrart.
