New online wine merchant, Wanderlust, is being launched with the aim of bringing as yet undiscovered artisanal wines from around the world to the UK.
Wanderlust is being launched by ex-chef and former banker, Richard Ellison, who wanted to turn his passion for wine into a career by sourcing the wines of boutique producers and selling them directly to consumers in the UK.
All the wines have been discovered by Ellison on his travels, and have previously been unavailable to the UK market.
They will range from Australia to Romania, with an emphasis on sustainable practices and where possible will be biodynamic and organic.
“Wanderlust Wine has been set up to fill a real void in the marketplace, offering good value, quality wine made by small producers with sustainability at their hearts,” Ellison said.
“Wanderlust means ‘a strong desire to travel’, and we want to help wine lovers explore the boundaries of the wine world, with new wines, new regions and new styles, at affordable prices.”
As part of the launch, consumers will be able to become members of the Wanderlust Wine Club.
Membership starts from £25 a month.
