Enotria & Coe to reveal raft of new wines at major post-merger tasting

Published:  12 February, 2016

Enotria & Coe has unveiled the line-up for its first Showcase Tasting since the two companies merged last year.

The tasting, which will take place at London's Old Truman Brewery on February 23, will feature over 90 producers and will fill the entire venue.

The company will reveal a range of additions to its portfolio with a strong emphasis on New World wines, alongside its well established premium partners.

New to Enotria & Coe from New Zealand are the Peregrine and Man o' War wineries, while Australian arrivals include Stargazer, Tempus Two and Chalmers Wine.

From South America, the company will be showcasing three new Chilean producers - Laberinto, Huaso de Sauzal and Terroir Sonoro - all of which highlight the trend towards cool climate expressions of classic Chilean varietials, as well as leading Argentine winery Trapiche.

Also new to the list is Stellenbosch producer, Fram.

In the Old World, Enotria & Coe is now sole UK distributor for Navarra's Chivite winery.

Jon Pepper MW, director of buying and retail for the new business, said: "We have what can only be described as a bevy of talent from across the globe, and the buying team continue to develop the portfolio to make certain that we have the best, most relevant, most interesting range."

Mike Beavan, the company's marketing director, said: "Our supply partners will be exhibiting a range of spirits and liqueurs from across the globe, highlighting the diversity of products available through Enotria&Coe.

"Along with a series of category seminars, we aim to offer insight to our customer base as to how to maximise opportunities through premiumisation and choice across a broad range of spirit and liqueur categories."

Enotria & Coe was formed by the merger of Enotria and Coe Vintners in August 2015.
