South Africa to hold London tasting for independents and the on-trade
Wines of South Africa is hosting an autumn tasting event targeted at independent wine merchants and on-trade buyers.
Wozani will be held at South Africa House in London during the day on October 7 and will feature only wines that are available to those trade sectors.
A consumer event will take place at the same venue in the evening.
Wines of South Africa said it had seen "high levels" of interest from independent operators and that the event would help them focus on "winemaking young guns to longstanding producers with a reputation for top quality".
UK market manager Jo Wehring said: "The South African wine scene has changed dramatically in recent years and we're seeing such enthusiasm for our wines from independent merchants and sommeliers that we felt it was important to create a tasting where buyers can find the wines to suit their business and discover more about South Africa's exciting and dynamic industry."
Exhibitors include Alheit Vineyards, Botanica, Fable Mountain Vineyards, Ataraxia, Mulderbosch, Rustenburg and Kleine Zalze.
