Tom and Ed Martin, who have been building up an impressive range of pubs across London as part of their privately-owned ETM Group, are now set to venture outside the capital and head to Lavenham in Suffolk to open their first rural pub, The Six Bells.
The new venture will be the 14th in the group and is set to open its doors in April following an extensive refurbishment and full refit of the Grade II-listed building in the village of Preston St Mary, Sudbury which is three north of Lavenham.
The pub is situated on the site of a former brewery and dates back to 1416. It covers 2,000 sq foot and will be pitched as a tradtional English country pub with 20-cover bar and 40-cover dining room that also offers corporate and private functions.

John Tremayne is moving from his position as head chef of ETM's White Swan pub on Fetter Lane to head up the new venture that will feature menus and recipes using local farms and suppliers including Lavenham Butchers with daily catches from Leigh-on-Sea.
The Six Bells will also include an extensive wine list managed by ETM's central beverages team and will include guest and local beers.
Tom Martin, said: "We are incredibly excited to announce our first opening outside of London. The Six Bells will be very much a locals' village pub serving both the nearby residents, weekenders from London and holidaymakers with quality food, drink and service as well as an ever-evolving roster of events. We cannot wait to open our doors to this beautiful part of Suffolk."
