Get your dancing shoes on for the Benevolent's Christmas Ceilidh

Published:  05 November, 2013

The Benevolent is looking to get the wine and spirits trade in to the festive spirit early by hosting a Christmas Ceilidh on November 28.

It promises an evening of Scottish dancing, drinks and festive food along with wines from from Chile's Santa Rita winery and a selection of premium whiskies donated by Pernod Ricard UK. The Ceilidh itself will be co-ordinated by expert caller Mary Panton who will go through all the intricate steps for the various traditional dances.

The event is being held at Toynbee Hall, near Aldgate East Tube in central London on November 28 from 6:30pm. Tickets are £40 for members (corporate or individual) and £45 for non-members, and include all wine, whisky and finger food served on the evening. All funds raised will be used to help existing and ex-members of the drinks industry who are less fortunate and suffering serious illness, disability or financial hardship during the holiday season. If you cannot attend the event but would still like to support a colleague in the trade you can do by going to the Benevolent's Christmas Appeal here. For more details call 0207 089 3888.
