Serving Prosecco on tap rather than by the bottle could help reduce serving time by up to 80% and enhance profits this Christmas, according to on-trade Prosecco supplier Frizzenti.
Frizzenti is promoting its six-second serve, on-tap system over the festive season in a bid to help increase staff efficiency and reduce customer waiting time through staff returning repeatedly to the fridge and opening and resealing bottles.
Managing director George Workman said: "Prosecco is the big wine success story of the past 10 years and establishments which adopt our on-tap system in time for the busy Christmas party season will significantly enhance profits.
He added: "Simple calculations suggest that in busy bars where it is in high demand, approximately a full hour of staff time can be saved with every 150 glasses of Frizzenti served from the tap. This time, which is otherwise lost, can be spent serving other customers at the bar, enhancing the overall customer experience and generating more revenue. What is more, our system is guaranteed to maintain a quality serve every time."
Frizzenti wines are from the Veneto region and can be found at on-trade outlets across the UK priced at approximately £4-£5 per 125ml glass. It supplies Frizzenti Classico and Frizzenti Rosato, in a 20-litre keg, both at 10.5% abv.
