Former event manager for the London International Wine Fair, Ross Carter, has returned as exhibition director, replacing James Murray who left Brintex last week.
The new appointment marks a return to Brintex for Carter, who managed the LIWF between 2007 and 2009.
He has since travelled the wine world, with a number of vintages under his belt, including stints in New Zealand at Pegasus Bay and Mudbrick Vineyards. On returning to the UK, he became a buyer at UK agent PLB, where he was responsible for Italy, Australasia, the US and South Africa.
Carter said: "This is both an exciting and challenging time to return to my exhibition roots, and with coalface experience in the wine industry I am looking forward to developing the show on both a UK and international level."
James Murray left the position after 10 years in the role. He confirmed to Harpers in December he wanted to explore new opportunities ahead of a potentially challenging year for the exhibition.
