HARDYS TO LAUNCH SUPER-PREMIUM RANGE

BRL Hardy is launching a range of super-premium wines as part of its 150th anniversary celebrations for the Hardys wine brand, established in 1853 by Thomas Hardy, who pioneered wine in the McLaren Vale. Hardys will mark the milestone anniversary with festivities around the globe'. In the UK, it will launch a new range of super-premium wines and a series of trade and media PR initiatives. In Australia, select dinners and masterclasses will be held at the Tintara winery in McLaren Vale and Old Cave at Reynella, and the oldest bottle of Australian wine in existence - Tintara Vineyard Association 1867 Claret - will be dusted down for a tour of the country'. * Australia's troubled National Wine Centre is being taken over by its near neighbour, the University of Adelaide, from July. The complex will be used as an education facility for grape growing and winemaking and its exhibition and function facilities will be maintained'.
