Indies could win £15,000 store makeover

Independent retailers can win a £15,000 store makeover courtesy of South African wine brand Kumala.


Constellation Wines Kumala brand is planning a major focus on the independent and convenience sector in the run-up to Christmas. As part of the brand's investment in the sector, Kumala will offer retailers the chance to win a shop makeover and support package worth £15,000.


Independent retailers who purchase Kumala from any participating Cash & Carry nationwide can enter a prize draw. The prize package includes the £15,000 revamp, category and merchandising advice, plus local press and advertising support to publicise the refurbished store.


Retailers have until the end of January 2011 to purchase Kumala and enter the draw.  


Clare Griffiths, vice president of marketing at Constellation Wines Australia and Europe Ltd, said: "Kumala is a must-stock brand for retailers this Christmas, with sales currently up 38%, and further uplift expected in the run-up to Christmas."


"The independent sector is key for Kumala, which is why we're supporting retailers both during the crucial Christmas trading period, and into the future."
