Crabbie's adds mulled wine product

Published:  03 September, 2010

Halewood International is to launch a Crabbie's Ginger Mulled Wine this Christmas.

The launch follows the success that the company has seen with Crabbie's alcoholic ginger beer.

A 70cl bottle with an abv of 12% will have an rrp of £4.99 in take-home and £2 per standard glass in the on-trade.

Halewood said the drink should ideally be served warm in a tall glass.

It is made from red wine, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and citrus fruits.

Head of innovation Richard Clark said: "In the run-up to the festive season, both the take-home market and on-trade are looking for credible branded products that will offer retailers the opportunity to make incremental sales."

The launch will backed by sampling and in-outlet support.
