Pimm's enjoys its time in the sunshine
A couple of days of scorching sunshine and everyone is talking about...Pimm's, apparently.
Pimm's has enjoyed some Twitter success this month featuring on the social media website's UK top trend list four days in a row.
Twitter highlighted the Diageo brand as one of the top 10 talked about topics on May 21 as the UK basked in unseasonably warm weather and users exchanged tweets about what they were drinking.
Pimm's listing in the trending section then prompted hundreds more tweets from around the world.
One UK tweeter, Jenni Willows, said: "One half-decent day of sunshine and Pimm's is trending on Twitter. Oh how I love the British response to warm weather."
Gin-based Pimm's is marketed as a summertime drink served long mixed with lemonade and fruit.
It's a shame the red-hot weather we have experienced recently has now returned to something we are all a bit more used to.
