A record number of international visitors attended the Speyside Whisky Festival, helping to raise almost £1million for the area's economy.
Market research undertaken by Enigma Business Consulting showed that an estimated 24,000 visits were made to events that took place surrounding the May festival, with many visitors attending from around the globe.
It is estimated that the total economic benefit to the area was over £950,000.
Jim Royan, chairman of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival said: "The Festival thrives on the participation of local communities and businesses and would not be possible without the generous support of our funders, partners, sponsors and members."
Events included the annual whisky awards tours and tastings at distilleries some of which are not normally open to the public. This year also featured the first Malt Whisky School - a master class for a select number of whisky enthusiasts and whisky and food-matching experiences .
