Trentino co-operative Cavit has appointed a new general manager, Enrico Zanoni.
Zanoni, whose experience is in food and drink business management including managerial roles at Nestle, Illva Spa Wine & Spirits and De Rica, will take overall charge at Cavit which controls almost 65% of Trentino's wine production.
Cavit said it had chosen Zanoni for his "skills, experience and professionalism; as well as for personal abilities and interests in wine's world".
Cavit was created in 1950 when several wine-growers entered into a partnership and formed a consortium with the aim of assisting member producers to create a homogeneous wine culture throughout the region.
It encompasses 11 cellars with more than 4,500 wine-growers and 5,700 hectares of land.
