A new barley Vodka and London dry Gin is to be launched in the first new London copper-pot distillery for 189 years.
Made in small batches of no more than 500 bottles Sipsmith Barley Vodka and Sipsmith London Dry Gin will be made using Lydwell spring water from one of the sources of the Thames.
Jared Brown, Sipsmith's master distiller said: "We believe that drinkers will appreciate the craft and care that goes into every Sipsmith bottle."
The Sipsmith distillery was formerly the micro-brewery for a local pub and latterley the offices of Michael Jackson and now houses "Prudence", - the bespoke, 300-litre copper still that produces Sipsmith spirits.
Sipsmith is an independents spirits company focusing on high-end bars and restaurants and will be showcasing its London Dry Gin and Barley Vodka at Taste 2009 in Regent's Park from June 18.
