Glengoyne Distillery has re-launched its website as part of its 175th anniversary celebrations.
www.glengoyne.com will aim to encourage greater customer interaction and involvement.
Developed for the consumer market by web design agency Greenparka, the new website gives customers the opportunity to learn directly from the whisky-makers.
The new site enables visitors to upload a YouTube video of their own trip to the distillery, or watch a blending session and whisky tasting on the new site as it is designed as an "open invitation" for customers to contribute.
The 'Ask the Distillery' page is a personal hotline to pick the brains of the Glengoyne Distillery team. The 'Range Tasting Notes' page lets customers pit their skills against the Glengoyne experts by posting their own reviews of the Glengoyne collection.
Iain Weir, marketing director of Ian Macleod Distillers, brand owner of Glengoyne said: "At Glengoyne, we are lucky to have strong support and good will from across the online world, especially from bloggers and independent whisky websites. I hope by making www.glengoyne.com more interactive, interesting and visible on the web, we will bring some more of their enthusiasm and passion for our whisky to our new site."
