NIEPOORT DECLARES 2000 VINTAGE PORTS

Artisan' Port shipper Niepoort has declared three Ports from the 2000 vintage. Besides Niepoort itself, there will be a Niepoort Secundum, the new Vintage Port label launched with the 1999, and Quinta do Passadouro, reinstated by Niepoort in 1992. Less of the 2000 vintage will be available, partly due to the Douro's lower yields in that year, but also because Dirk Niepoort claims to have practised his strictest-ever selection. Niepoort's UK distributor, Raymond Reynolds Ltd , is offering all three Vintage Ports on an allocation basis only.
