PLUMPTON BECOMES AWE CORPORATE MEMBER

Plumpton College has joined The Association of Wine Educators (AWE) as a corporate member. Wink Lorch, chairman of AWE, said: There are both AWE members who have previously studied at Plumpton and members who currently teach on their wine trade modules, and with such links it is appropriate that Plumpton should be part of the AWE.' Plumpton's main wine course is the Higher National Diploma in Wine Studies, which covers all aspects of wine, from the soil to the glass. It also offers one-day introductory courses on Viticulture and Winemaking - technical sessions for WSET Diploma and MW students. Chris Foss, programme tutor, said: Plumpton is unique in providing an all-round education in wine, by combining tuition in practical production, high-level science, business management, wine tasting and worldwide product knowledge.'
