Russia lifts ban on Moldovan wines

MOLDOVA: But wine companies winning approval are unable to ship wines to Russia until the "majority" of companies are audited, officials said.
Meanwhile, Moldova imports to the European Union have fallen.
During the first six months of 2007, the country exported $8.7m (4.4m) worth of wine to the EU - just over one-and-a-half times less than the previous year, Moldova Vin said.
Alcoholic beverages to Poland rose to $2.75m (1.4m) January-June 2007, up 61% from the same period in 2006.
Supplies to the Romanian market dropped 4.6 times, while they increased 52% to Latvia.
