Ocean House hopes to make waves

Published:  23 July, 2008

A new company has been set up in the UK aiming to import wines for producers who have little or no experience of the UK market.

Ocean House Enterprises is the work of Paul Dickinson, who was previously an associate director of Darlington Wines, and has also worked with Berkmann Wine Cellars and Grants of St James's.

Ocean House's first supplier is the Lestrille winery in Bordeaux, owned by the Roumage family.

Dickinson said: "My belief is that Lestrille wines have much to offer. The family takes great pride in the quality of its wines, establishing benchmarks for each appellation. This is down to teamwork, care in making the most of the terroir, respect for the environment and a constant desire to strive for improvement."

Initially, Ocean House Enterprises will offer a range of ex-cellar Lestrille wines, including Chateau Lestrille and Chateau Lestrille Capmartin, together with a range of five- and 10-litre bag-in-box wines.
