New look unveiled for Château Haut-Brion owner’s Clarendelle range

Published:  25 April, 2019

Domaine Clarence Dillon, the owner of top Bordeaux First Growth, Château Haut-Brion, has unveiled a new branding exercise for one of its newest ranges.

Clarendelle, which is now approaching its 17th vintage, will feature a new look and logo, helping to set it apart from the rest of the Domaine Clarence Dillon range.

Domaine Clarence Dillon owns some of Bordeaux’s most significant and historical companies, including Château Haut-Brion, Château La Mission Haut-Brion, Saint-Émilion’s Château Quintus and Clarendelle.

Chateau Haut-Brion is the only property from outside the Médoc to be included in the 1855 Classification.

After falling into disrepair, the estate was purchased in 1935 by Clarence Dillon, an American financier.

Today, the estate is run by Dillon’s great-grandson, Prince Robert of Luxembourg, who launched the Clarendelle family of wines as a collection of “elegant, modern and premium wines that represents the very best of the Bordeaux terroir”.

The new logo incorporates the crown and lions included in the Dillon family coat of arms.

The original logo will remain in place for the company’s other estates and assets, including fine wine boutique, La Cave du Château, and the two Michelin-starred restaurant Le Clarence in Paris.
