UK’s top 100 bartenders announced

The shortlist includes names from London to Glasgow, and represent those who have made it through the first stage of Diageo’s annual competition to find the next generation of bartending talent.

Diageo reports a rise in the number of hopefuls entering the first digital stage of the competition, with a 50% increase on 2018.

For the next stage, candidates have until May 1 to produce a serve under the heading of ‘Tartan Tiki’, using Talisker 10 Year Old and showcasing British flavours.

Following the in-bar judging, the top 100 will be whittled down to 20, who will then come together to compete for the GB crown, before representing GB in the World Class Global Final hosted in Glasgow later this year.
