Jascots has added Beaujolais producers Lucien Lardy and his son, Yohan Lardy, to its portfolio.
The family operates separate domaines that produce classic and modern Beaujolais.
Lucien Lardy is headquartered in Fleurie from where he produces “extremely refined Beaujolais Villages and exceptional Fleurie and Morgon”.
Yohan Lardy’s wines come from “exceptionally old vines” in Moulin a Vent, produced with “minimal intervention using only native yeasts and adding no sulphur”.
With Beaujolais "enjoying a renaissance in the UK", it was a "real privilige" to add the wines to Jascots' portfolio, said managing partner Miles MacInnes, adding the merchant's customers "love the elegance and complexity of the best examples".
“Lucien and Yohan Lardy make truly exciting wines, between them they represent what is most exciting in Beaujolais today, the classic and the modern interpretations of this historic region."
Yohan Lardy said: “My father and I are really excited to be working with Jascots exclusively in the UK. They are a passionate and dynamic team with an exceptional portfolio of producers, we’re really looking forward to introducing our wines to their customers.”
