Freixenet launches its first 0% alcohol range

Published:  11 December, 2018

Freixenet has launched an alcohol free sparkling wine range to tap the trend for low and no alcohol drinks.

The newcomer, which is rolling out into Tesco now followed by further retailers later this month, comprises  ‘White’ (70cl and 20cl) and Rosé (70cl) variants (rrp: £5 and £1.50 respecitvely).

Crafted using a low temperature distillation system to keep the natural aromas of the grapes, the fizz would provide non-drinkers with a “sophisticated substitute to the often much sweeter alternatives”, said Freixenet.

“With low and no alcohol becoming a fast-growing lifestyle choice, and dry January 2019 set to be the biggest yet, our new premium offeringis the ultimate tipple for post-festive season celebrations,” it said.

Made with Moscato grapes and featuring tropical notes and citrus hints, the sparkling white is pitched as the perfect accompaniment for hors d’oeuvres, while the pink blend of Moscato and Tempranillo is positioned as the “perfect” drink to serve with light appetisers.
