Boutinot has expanded its German portfolio with two new producers - AJ Adam and Horst Sauer.
Available to independent retail and the on-trade now, the wines from AJ Adam’s Dhron valley, Mosel, winery comprise four Rieslings – a mix of feinherb and trocken styles, from the producers five hectares of vines planted around the Hofberg site.
The hand-harvested quartet, which is made with natural yeasts and minimum intervention, is joined on shelf by six wines from Silvaner specialist Horst Sauer – a selection of Riesling, Silvaner and Müller-Thurgau, some packaged in the traditional bocksbeutel.
Run by Horst and his daughter, the 37 hectare estate in Franken includes the prime 'Erste Lagen' sites of Escherndorfer Lump and Escherndorfer Fürstenberg and the 'Grosse Lage' plot of Escherndorf am Lumpen.
In addition, Boutinot has added three new wines from its current German agencies - Kloster Eberbach, Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier and Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium: a Mosel Pinot Noir parcel from Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier and two ‘Estate’ wines from Kloster Eberbach.
