Christie's to run Hospices de Beaune auction

London-based auction house Christie's is to take over the running of the Hospices de Beaune wine auction.
The charity event, which is widely seen as a barometer of Burgundy prices, will also sell wines direct to the consumer for the first time. Previously only ngociants were allowed to bid for the barrel lots.
The auction will take place on 19 and 20 November.
