Report To: Demand Planning Manager

Purpose

The Demand Planner will manage our French wine portfolio of products to replenish from a forecast provided by the Forecast Analyst and will be responsible for the delivery from the supplier into our warehouse.

You will have full accountability for customer availability and inventory stock holding, they will liaise closely with buying and build strong influencing relationships with our suppliers and possibly hauliers to ensure we are getting the very most out of each transaction.

Core Accountabilities

• Maintaining product availability above target
• Maintaining days inventory cover below target
• Supplier inbound performance
• Improving sourcing methods from suppliers

Internal:

• Buying Assistants
• Demand Planners
• Forecast Analyst
• Warehouse Manager

External:

• Informing and Influencing suppliers
• Informing and Influencing hauliers
• Informing Tradeteam

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

Essential:

• End to end understanding of SCM
• Previous Demand Planning experience
• Can demonstrate an understanding of forecasts, supply and demand
• Understands incoterms

Preferred:

• Previous experience in FMCG supply chain
• Experience of importing goods
• Proficiency in French will be an advantage in this role but not essential with previous Demand Planning experience

Qualifications & Education

Essential 

• Educated to degree level
