Zonin UK: Marketing Manager

The position will be primarily focused on trade marketing but is truly dynamic with the opportunity to show your creativity and business savvy. The successful candidate will not only drive UK trade marketing through relationship building, promotional activities, events and POS management but will also have unparalleled exposure and involvement in global initiatives (including new product development and package design) working alongside the Zonin1821 senior executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement UK marketing strategy
• Implement global marketing initiatives and new product launches working closely with the Zonin1821 head office marketing team
• Manage the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information with external and internal parties ensuring ongoing understanding
• Ensure the UK sales team are continually updated on all product and broader business matters
• Support the activities of the Sales Team when necessary
• Take responsibility and full control of the marketing budget
• Carry out market place, competitor and marketing research
• Manage and develop the growing UK marketing team

The Ideal Candidate:

• Extensive experience in the wine trade ideally with WSET accreditation
• A strong background in marketing and management
• Flexible style and approach to tasks which will vary from strategic thinking and creative implementation
• Great communication and networking skills
• A self-starter with the ability to identify, develop and convert new business and opportunities
• The ability to take on additional responsibilities and a desire to progress within the company
• Detailed orientated and have excellent time management skills 
• A background in budget control is essential

Master Vintners since 1821, the Zonin Family operates Italy’s largest private owned vineyard and winemaking complex. The house produces 25 million bottles and exports its wines to 75 countries on all continents. The company’s historic headquarters is located in Gambellara in the province of Vicenza in northeastern Italy. The Zonin Family owns 2000 hectares of vineyards in seven of the country’s most highly regarded winemaking regions: Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli, Tuscany, Apulia and Sicily. It also owns one winery in Barboursville, Virginia.
