Company Background

Hallgarten Druitt has 85 years of experience in the UK wine trade. We market and sell over 1,000 wines from some of the greatest wine producers in the world through our 46-strong sales team to all sectors of the UK trade - restaurants, hotels, independent wine merchants and supermarkets. In addition, we also have a portfolio of brands which we design ourselves and which we sell both in the UK and abroad.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional who can inspire our Marketing team to take the Hallgarten brand to the next level.

This is an exciting challenge to develop integrated marketing campaigns to promote our diverse, award winning portfolio.

A key member of the senior management team, the Head of Marketing will build successful relationships with our customers and suppliers, working closely with them to design and implement opportunities to successfully sell our products more effectively.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of marketing including budgetary control, PR, social media, events and promotions.

Applicants should have relevant experience in the wine industry with WSET accreditation or marketing experience gained in a competitive B2B environment. Knowledge of a 2nd European language would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Define and implement UK marketing strategy
Manage the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information with external and internal parties ensuring ongoing understanding

Ensure the UK sales team is continually updated on all product and broader business matters
Support the activities of the Sales Team when necessary
Take responsibility and full control of the marketing budget
Transform market data into Insight intelligence to be used to win and maintain business
Carry out market place, competitor and marketing research
Manage and develop the growing UK marketing team
