Kaelo, the iceless ice bucket brand, has added a mobile variant to its portfolio.
The new free-standing model, which can be used at home, in bars, restaurants and hotels, requires no installation and can be plugged in anywhere, making it possible to move it around the house unlike the original product, which is installed in a set place.
The newcomer had been developed on the back of feedback form existing customers, said founder and inventor, Kevin Jabou.
“So many of our clients loved their original Kaelo, but also wanted one in their living space or games room," he said.
Prices start from £1,295.
Kaelo, which uses a patented cooling system to ensure wine is served at the "perfect temperature" and the bottle stays completely dry unlike an ice bucket, is powered by technology that delivers chilled wine without the mess.
Once activated, the Kaelo and its chamber will become instantly ice cold. It claims to use less power than a lightbulb and turns itself off if the bottle hasn’t been touched in two hours.
The new Kaelo model continues with the original’s understated design, offering clean lines and simple finishes in piano black, arctic white, oak veneer and walnut veneer.
