Bibendum has revealed its 2017 portfolio, including a flow of wines from emerging markets such as Croatio, China and Turkey.
In addition, this year’s list includes a bolstered regional offer from Beaujolais, Languedoc, Puglia and Calabria, as well as premium producers like Llopart Cava and Australia’s Some Young Punks.
In a bid to reflect the brand’s new “look and feel”, the UK wine and spirits supplier has introduced an updated design for its wine portfolio that displays a "revival of Bibendum’s classic character” - brought to life using striking graphics, fonts and colours, as well as Art Nouveau poster images and producer photographs.
As Bibendum regularly worked alongside its customers to help them create ”stand out wine lists”, the business felt it was right that it should apply this “creative flair” to its own assets, said group head of creative, Matt Ellis.
“With our new creative direction, we've taken inspiration from the very colours, shapes and artwork that’s been surrounding us for years,” he said, adding for Bibendum it's was not new, but a new expression of the brand.
“It feels like the right time to be embracing our past while looking to the future.”
