This month sees the launch of National Best Mates Week by Taboo, the vodka-based brand owned by William Grant & Sons.

Running from 17 to 23 July, it is aimed at driving awareness and trial' of the brand, which is distributed by First Drinks Brands.

The week will see a series of competitions, with holidays, spa breaks and party kits up for grabs, as well as radio station promotions, street theatre shows and branded rickshaws.

Brand manager Nick Morton says: Taboo is currently enjoying a strong revival, with the recent launch of Taboo Blue, which is already selling at 50% of the rate of Taboo Original, and is helping to attract new consumers into the brand.'
